Mario Rendulić, CSEBA's president of Presidency said that this membership is of the great importance for association.
- This a very important step in association activities, especially because of the promotion of Belt and Road construction in the region of Southeast Europe. We’re very proud to be a part of this very important organization, Rendulić said.
SRCIC is composed of national commercial associations of the Silk Road countries, and is the first non-profit and non-government international business confederation named after the Silk Road. It was founded in 2015, and currently has around 100 organizational members from 75 countries, including state-level organizations and correspondents.
By integration of its rich worldwide resources, SRCIC has constructed the project pool and capital pool to serve and connect business communities of different countries as a platform, providing opportunities for international communication, project matching, cultural exchange, and innovative development. SRCIC is becoming an important tool in the promotion of the Belt and Road construction, global trade and investment, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.
SRCIC has been set up in eight professional committees: trade, finance, culture, transportation, energy, information, industrial parks, and standard & brand, and seven sub-organizations including eSilkRoad, Silk Road International Development Fund, Silk Road Think Tank Association, Silk Road Trade Expo Park, Silk Road International Commodity Exchanges, Silk Road International Association of Museums, and International Artwork Trading Centre – all of them serving as platforms for pragmatic and mutually beneficial cooperation among its members. SRCIC has its headquarters in Hong Kong, China, its Secretariat in Xi'an (the starting point of the ancient Silk Road), and its representative offices in both Beijing and Shanghai.
