The Croatian delegation held talks with the provincial government on Hainan on Hainan Airlines's direct flight to Croatia.

The stimulation of these talks has given a strong growth to the number of Chinese tourists in Croatia. Speeches from the Croatian side were attended by the President of the Presidency of the Czech Republic, Mario Rendulić, and the Croatian Ambassador to PRC Nebojša Koharović.

- We have updated talks about a direct Hainan Airlines flight from China to Croatia, most likely to Zagreb. Introducing a direct flight would certainly boost the number of Chinese tourists in Croatia. It is certain that the interest of the provincial government as well as the central government can be attributed to the good news about job on the Peljesac Bridge, which was acquired by the Chinese CRBC, said Mario Rendulić, President of the Presidency of CSEBA.

Ambassador Koharović and CSEBA have proposed to the Chinese side a joint organization of workshops for tourism. They also proposed the establishment of a special office for the exchange of goods and a greater promotion of Croatia on this tropical island, which is just like tourism in Croatia as the most important sector of the economy.

Hainan Airlines has been flying from Beijing to Belgrade last September, via Prague.
