- Although China and Croatia are far apart, our traditional friendship goes back to ancient times. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 27 years ago, China-Croatia relations have grown stronger. In recent years, driven by the Belt and Road Initiative and Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC), China-Croatia relations are witnessing a strong momentum of development. Pragmatic cooperation between our two countries has achieved important breakthroughs and people-to-people exchanges have accelerated. From April 9 to 12, 2019, Premier Li Keqiang paid an official visit to Croatia and attended the 8th China-CEEC Summit, opening a new chapter in China-Croatia relations. China-Croatia relations are facing new opportunities for development in the new situation. I believe, with the joint efforts of both sides, our relations will thrive with new dynamism and enjoy great prospects, bringing benefits to the two countries and peoples.
