The aim of this gathering was to raise the awareness of the business community about the importance of doing business with China and to introduce potential travelers to the benefits of Qatar Airways.
CSEBA Vice-President Matej Balen gave a presentation outlining the basic directions of the association's activities and introducing many details related to doing business with China. The CSEBA was established with a mission to provide the basis for economic and financial cooperation between China and the countries of South-Eastern Europe, including: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, FYR of Macedonia, Kosovo, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, as well as the countries of: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia.
The conclusion is that we are currently in an advanced phase of the relationship that has brought about the first Chinese investments in Croatia. Kumrovec, Krapinske Toplice, Osijek and Zadar are currently destinations for Chinese investments, but some more destinations in Croatia are expected in the future.
Qatar Airways manager Ana Labaš spoke about connecting Croatia with China in air travel. Currently, Qatar Airways connects Croatia to five Chinese cities, via Doha. In addition, she spoke about Qatar Airways' new services and boasted the many awards this airline has received for its work in recent years
