Ms Yu briefly informed the Ambassador of the progress of her business activities in Croatia. In addition to the ambassador, Ms Yu also spoke briefly with the State Minister at the Ministry of Tourism, Frano Matusic, former Croatian President Stipe Mesic and former Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.

Sino-Croatian relations have reached the best stage in history, Chinese Ambassador Xu Erwen said in Zagreb on Friday to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China.

"China has been a nation with scars of humiliation for the last 70 years," Xu said, noting that her country has become a "second world economy" from a country affected by wars from an almost feudal society.

"As for China-Croatia relations, they have already entered the best period in history," added the ambassador, who assumed the post this year.

The celebration was also attended by representatives of the Chinese Southeast European Business Association (CSEBA), an organization that mediated the arrival of Chinese first investments in Croatia, led by President Mario Rendulic.
