ZAGREB - The Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butkovic, and Defence Minister Damir Krsticevic on Thursday signed with Zadar Airport a tripartite agreement on the construction and renovation of the airport's operational surfaces, worth around HRK 500 million (EUR 67.5 million). |
The agreement stipulates joint project preparation and settlement of property rights obligations. The project is worth a total of about HRK 500 million, which includes the reconstruction of the existing take-off and landing track, the extension of the 700-meter course and the reconstruction and upgrading of the passenger terminal building. Director of Zadar Airport Josip Klišmanić reported that a main project for staging has been made so far, a location permit has been obtained regarding the military section of the piste and a parcel elaboration has been made, followed by contractual relations between the Ministry of Defense and the Airport in order to define further steps and the way of regulating property - legal relations. Chinese investors have repeatedly expressed interest in this project. |
