The President emphasized that the Republic of Croatia gives great importance to strengthening cooperation with the People's Republic of China in all areas of common interest, in particular by highlighting the area of economy and cultural and scientific cooperation. It announced a number of infrastructure projects planned in the Republic of Croatia in the upcoming period and invited Chinese investors to participate in tenders for such projects.

Zhang expressed his satisfaction with the professionalism of selecting contractors at the international tender for the Zaprešić-Zabok railroad reconstruction, where China Railway Group Limited participated. He also announced the participation of this large Chinese company on future major infrastructure projects, whether road, rail, port or energy, particularly emphasizing the interest in the Rijeka-Zagreb-Budapest railways modernization project, the statement said.
