RIJEKA - China’s COSCO Shipping Lines has launched a new intermodal shipping service linking the Croatian Adriatic port of Rijeka to the countries of the CSE, the Croatian transport ministry said. |
The new service was inaugurated on October 21 at Rijeka port’s Adriatic Gate Container Terminal, the ministry said in a statement. The new service comprises the regular marine shipping line Piraeus-Rijeka Express Service (PRS service) and block train railway lines on the routes Rijeka-Budapest-Rijeka and Rijeka-Belgrade-Rijeka. With the new Rijeka Land Sea Express services, COSCO can offer 32-day transit from eastern China to Hungary’s capital Budapest and a 28-day transit from southern China to Budapest, Croatian state news agency Hina reported. COSCO Shipping Lines is part of COSCO Group, a Chinese state-owned shipping and logistics services supplier company. |
