It is a fast road that should be a direct connection between Požega and the A3 Zagreb - Lipovac highway. Offers from a Chinese company and a community of bidders from Strabag and Osijek-Koteks were submitted to the Hrvatske cesta tender.

The estimated value of the works is EUR 126.09 million without VAT, and both received offers are above this value. CRBC's offer amounts to EUR 159.8 million without VAT, and the offer of Strabag and Osijek-Koteks amounts to EUR 179.8 million without VAT. After the construction of the Pelješko bridge and the victory in the tender for the construction of the tunnel through Kozjak, this is the third major job that CRBC could do in Croatia, writes Jutarnji list.

The entire expressway construction project should take place in four phases, and this tender includes the first two. In the first, work will be carried out on the relocation and protection of power installations and power supply on the section from Brestovac Požeški to the Staro Petrovo Selo junction.

The second phase includes the construction of the right carriageway of the expressway from the junction in Brestovac Požeški to the junction in Godinjak. The third phase involves the construction of a subsection of the part of the expressway behind the Godinjak junction to the Staro Petrovo Selo junction, and the fourth is the construction of the left carriageway of the road on the subsection from Brestovac Požeški to Godinjak.

As part of the construction of the subsection from Brestovac Požeški to the intersection in Godinjak, it is necessary to build a tunnel 1700 meters long and several viaducts. The deadline for the construction of this part of the road is 48 months. The construction of the new junction Staro Petrovo Selo on the A3 highway is also planned, which would connect this expressway to the highway.

This expressway is extremely important for the Požega-Slavonia County because Požega is the only county center in Croatia that does not have a direct exit to the highway. Today, Požega is connected to the highway via Nova Gradiška by an inadequate state road that is in poor condition and is often closed to traffic.

The decision to accept the offer for the construction of this expressway should be made by Croatian Roads in the next 120 days.
