The President of the CSEBA Presidency, Mario Rendulić, particularly emphasizes the key role of Ambassador Zhaoming in contacts with Chinese investors in the Republic of Croatia. This is especially true for the first Chinese investments in the Republic of Croatia realized in health tourism in Krapinske Toplice and in Zadar Port.

There is no doubt that the last two years have marked the intensification of all Chinese-Croatian co-operation, which certainly can be attributed to the ambassador.

It can be argued that in 2019 we will witness a new momentum in Croatian-Chinese relations, primarily economic. The event of the year was certainly the China 16 + 1 summit, which was held in mid April in Dubrovnik, and which is freely to say that it is the most important political and economic gathering in Croatia this year.

During a recent visit by the President of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang to Croatia, several Memorandums of Understanding have been signed, which will certainly concretize the Croatian-Chinese cooperation in many areas.

And while Chinese as investors in this part of the world have appeared primarily in the infrastructure and energy sector, this year marks the beginning of new trends. Particularly rearding to Croatia where the Chinese are interested in wine production, sports facilities and tourist infrastructure.

The best in Croatian-Chinese relations is just coming!
