ZAGREB - Chinese investor Jiang Yu is interested in making further investments in the northwestern Croatian county of Krapina-Zagorje, after recently buying a former communist-era political school in Kumrovec for HRK 14.09 million (€1.9 million). |
She also announces the construction of a traditional Chinese medicine center in Krapinske Toplice, such as Italy, Germany and Austria. Although she did not disclose the amount of investment in the area of Krapinske Toplice, Yu stated her goals. "Krapinske Toplice is very important to us, we want to make our first Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine here. In mid-November we will organize a conference attended by Chinese medicine experts from around the world and about 100 participants from China," said Yu in intervju for RTL Television, convinced that plans to bring numerous benefits to the locals. Regarding the existing hotel in Krapinske Toplice, she confirmed that they became the owners of the hotel and that its renovation is a very important project for them, but she avoided talking about the figures, ie the level of investment. She said that according to an initial estimate, around EUR 20 million would be invested in the project in Kumrovec. We are interested in developing some types of tourism and I believe that this area is suitable for congress and health tourism, Yu said, adding that cooperation with the tourism sector on the coast was possible but that the plan was to develop year-round tourism in Kumrovec. |
