ZAGREB - Investing in real estate through NFT tokens is an opportunity that is provided to Croatian investors as of today.
Global digital exchange is a Croatian-Singaporean company that represents a new model of project financing through GDE Market.

Yesterday, two contracts were signed in Zagreb for two real estate projects in Croatia, one in Zagreb and the other on the Adriatic coast.

The use of NFT security tokens spans industries from the fine arts to wine and insurance, but no industry is growing as fast as the real estate industry, which accounts for 89% of all security token transactions. The first official NFT house was sold in Gulfport, Florida, in February 2022.

Physical real estate can be tokenized either as a whole asset or through partial ownership. This is achieved by "wrapping" the property in a legal entity and the ownership of that entity is then represented by NFT or a certain number of tokens. NFT for real estate essentially works like any other NFT. You buy them using cryptocurrency and keep them in a digital wallet.

Dr. Baulou Zhang, CEO of GD Exchange, said they support and invite everyone around the world to include their tokens to make the trade as lively as possible.

- We arrived in Croatia because we see great potential for the development of the IT industry, and especially the development of blockchain technology, says Zhang.

The potential is certainly visible. The number of real estate tokens that are actively traded in 2021 increased by 107% compared to the previous year. Active projects include many different aspects, including commercial hotels, private estates, affordable housing, etc., buying capital through blockchain accounts, and even property insurance.
