Tourism
One of CSEBA together with Croatian Tourism Ministry and the National Tourist Board, are trying to speed up the removal of administrative barriers and obtain permits which form the basis for the establishment of direct links. The direct links are necessary if Croatian tourist destinations want to attract more Chinese tourists.

Apart from a coordinated offer of travel arrangements, Croatia needs to promote itself in China as a new, desirable destination. Croatia is still unknown to Chinese travellers. A shopping offer is crucial for their interest, Chinese partners said. Next big issue on the agenda is the visa issue. Chinese travellers need a visa to enter Croatia. All tourists wishing to travel individually must personally ask for a visa at the Embassy, while group travels will be sorted by a travel agency accredited for organising trips to the EU.

Last year, 100.000 Chinese tourists visited Croatia, which is almost nothing considering the Chinese travel market, however, it was an improvement of 20% compared to 2015.
